Description of Wines to be served

ANTICA ENOTRIA-NERO DE TROIA, PUGLIA, IGT 2007 CERTIFIED ORGANIC
Made from 1005 organically grow Nero di Troia grapes. This intriguing redspent eight months in used French barrels. The result: a lean yet muscular, softly tannic wine suggestive of red-berry fruit with notes of licorice and leather.

BACIAMI-ALBANA DI ROMAGNA, DOCG 2009
Made from 100% Albana grapes. Sweet but not sticky with pleasing ripe fruit, aromas and flavors.

LA MONDIANESE- BARBERA D'ASTI SUPERIORE, DOC 2004
Fermented in stainless steel,  then aged in French oak barrels for 15 months. This is the best example of what a fine Barbera can be. A gorgeous bouquet, suggestive of currants, dark cherries and chocolate; in the mouth it is rich, full and velvety with a hint of dark berries and spicy overtones. 100 % Barbera

LA MONDIANESE- VALDINERA FAVORITA, LANGHE, DOC 2008
Long the "favorite" white of Italy's northwest Piedmont region, Favorita is said to have originated in Spain where it was called Vermentino. Crisp and refreshing, this virtually singes of peaches, honeysuckle and most of all grapefruit. 100% Favorita

CALABRIA- "MUTRO" MELISSA, DOC 2004
75% Gaglioppo and 25% Greco Nero-This wine comes from the dry, rugged Central Ionian coast of Calabria, "toe" of the Italian "boot". It delivers wonderful aromas and flavors of strawberries, blackberries, dark cherries and hints of chocolate. Medium in body, it is beautifully structured. **Two bicchieri Gambero Ross, Italian Wines 2007.
